Natural Gas is an energy alternative in Tasmania that can halve the cost of your current energy consumption. Natural Gas around your home is primarily used for hot water, heating and cooking. However, these days the technological advancements have allowed for new products to be developed that increase the use of Natural Gas around your home. These included barbecues, clothes dryers, ducted heaters, ambiance fires and outdoor heaters ensuring your home can utilise natural gas inside and out.

Currently, to help you get connected, Powerco have developed three levels of incentives which are detailed in the table below.

Incentives Finish December 2008

PLEASE  NOTE

To qualify for the residential incentives your application must be lodged with your preferred retailer by the 24th December 2008. All works must be completed by the 30th April 2009 for incentive payments to be processed. 

The installation of the service pipe from the property (and including) to gas meter, up to 25 metres, will be free (worth approximatley $1500). Special conditions apply.
